Let's talk about campus
To say that you'll have a great time at NNU would be an understatement. The Office of Student Development is here to make sure of that. We take care of every aspect of your student experience, from where you live to what you do on Thursday nights (Brick House, baby). Here's just a sample of what's in store:
Through Spiritual Life you'll find new ways to grow in your faith. Our community is rooted in love for one another and for God, but it is not a Christian hideout from the world. Students and faculty alike challenge one another to examine, articulate and own their faith. Attending Timeout (a weekly student-led service), serving locally and joining an ABIDE group are just a few of the ways you can grow.
Staple campus traditions would not be possible without the Student Government Association (SGA) and other student leadership. SGA will give you opportunities to get involved, both on-campus and in the community. We've got the standard clubs and organizations (more than 40), but we also have some unique traditions and campus characters you might not find elsewhere. Come strut your stuff at our talent show, Fresheree (talent not required), or give back to the community during Give Week. You'll find enough options to keep you involved and entertained for all four years.
16 percent of students on campus this year come from a culturally diverse background. The Office of Multicultural Affairs works to increase awareness, cooperation and understanding concerning ethnic, religious and cultural diversity on campus and in the local community.
The Wellness Center is here to keep you healthy, both physically and emotionally. They offer services such as basic first aid, counseling, and UV light therapy to conquer the winter blues. Looking for a job? The Career Center can help. Find a part-time job on or off campus for your four years here, or start the process searching for your post-college career.
Do you love sugar beets? Then Nampa is the place for you! But seriously, Nampa is an awesome place to live with plenty to do. You get the community of a small city just 20 minutes away from downtown Boise. Venture off campus and you might catch a two-dollar movie at the Reel, meet friends for coffee at Flying M, ski Bogus Basin, see a show at the Knitting Factory or grab a slice of Italian pie at The Messenger. Find all these places and more at love.nnu.edu.
